CFO - CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER/DIRECTOR OF FINANCE This position is with a non-profit organization in the Springfield, MA area.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Reporting, forecasting, budgeting, cash management, cost controls, project analysis, coordination of audits.
- Supervise the staff accountant and the administrative staff.
- Assist the grants administrator with the Endowment.
- Ultimately responsible for the general ledger, accounts payable, account receivable, gifts, grants, scholarships, payroll, insurance administration and reconciliation,computer information systems and fund accounting.
- Assist the President of the Board, the Executive Director, the Executive Board members, all committee chairs and all directors in understanding financial information.
- Serve as a member of the Finance Committee.
- Compensation: $75,000 to $90,000 depending on experience.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related degree is required.
- CPA and/or MBA a plus.
- 5+ years experience of financial management, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budgeting, financial reporting and analysis, and fund accounting
- Computer information systems experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience with governmental accounting practices is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, previous experience reporting to CFOs and Board of Directors.
- Must be able to work for any employer in the U.S.
