Our client is a major Fortune 500 Energy Company with several positions in Accounting and offers a top compensation package including: great career track, strong salary, excellent work/life balance and no travel. 

Responsibilities:

• Supervise senior and staff accountants in the preparation of the financial data for the company.
• Monthly closing process (journal entries, error correction, special billings, etc.) and also include balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis and various special projects.
• Compensation: $99,000 to $105,000 plus bonus.

Requirements

• A Bachelors degree in accounting and a minimum of ten (10) years of related experience is required.
• An MBA, CPA or equivalent work experience in the field of accounting is desirable.
• Supervisory experience is also preferred.
• Thorough knowledge and experience with the MIB system processing and structure is preferred.
• A strong knowledge of accounting theory including FERC and SEC accounting is preferred.
• Individual will need to be proficient in the use of MS Office applications, especially Excel.
• Individual must have the analytical thought process and ability to develop QMF queries that encompass a variety of issues
• Must be able to work for any employer in the U.S.
