Responsibility:

Financial team member responsible for analyzing, reporting and providing commentary on designated profit center financial results, including gross margins, productivity, manufacturing variances, spending, inventory levels and other financial data relative to budgets, forecasts and prior periods.

•  Analyze and report on variations between standard and current product costs on existing products.
• Review for propriety bills of material and labor routings.
• Reporting and explaining trends in product cost variances to prior year and budget.
• Record manual journal entries necessary to properly state sales and related cost of sales.
• Create a tracking process to verify that cost savings initiatives are accurately reported and follow-up to ensure system updates reflect these changes.
• Reconcile perpetual inventory records to general ledger.
• Provide commentary to inventory levels, specifically any change to budget, forecasts or prior periods.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, including spending and the development of overhead and efficiency rates.
• Review monthly spending and report variations to budget, forecast and prior periods.  Determine if spending variations indicate unusual trends.
• Conduct and reconcile annual physical inventory.
• $55,000 to $70,000 plus great benefit package.

• BS Accounting
• Minimum 3 years experience supporting a profit center in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean business background a plus
• Excel a must – Intermediate level or above
• Access a plus
• JDEdwards a plus
• Business Objects a plus.
