Our clients, leading publicly-held, financial services and manufacturing companies headquartered in Hartford, seek several audit professionals for high visibility opportunities: Staff, Senior and Manager. These positions serve as an excellent entrance into the Companies, offering mentoring and networking opportunities to move ahead and grow professionally.

Responsibilities include:

• Plan and perform internal audits.
• Examine key financial processes and business risks.
• Assess and test the Company’s system of internal controls to ensure that they address significant business risks.
• Identify meaningful recommendations to improve processes and controls.
• Assist senior management in the fulfillment of the Company’s strategic operational objectives.
• Assist management with special projects as needed.
• Several positions require no travel, other positions vary from 25%-50% travel.
• Compensation: $60,000 - $110,000 /year + bonus 
  

REQUIREMENTS

•  B.S. in Accounting is a must.
• 2 to 11 years of experience in internal auditing or business process improvement or public accounting.
• Big 4 or regional accounting firm experience is a plus.
• Professional certification of CPA is preferred; however, our client will consider a candidate working on their CPA or CIA designation.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Top oral and written communication skills.
• Initiative, go beyond what is expected.
• Knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing applications, including Lotus Notes and ACL
• Take ownership for meeting personal goals and objectives.
• Candidate must be able to work for any employer in the U.S.
