Our client is the sales division of a 1 billion North American manufacturing company located in New Haven and is offering an excellent opportunity with top benefits.

• Assist with the month end reporting process, taking responsibility for the more critical and/or sensitive areas.
• Take the lead for various financial analyses and the development of key management reports.
• Work on Group level special projects, playing a key role as team member.
• Take initiative to assess procedures and controls related to day-to-day tasks and make recommendations for continuous process improvements.
• Respond to ad hoc requests for information and reports
• Works with sensitive and confidential data.
• Compensation: $55,000 to $62,000 /year + bonus

Requirements

• B.S. in Accounting
• MBA or CPA preferred
• 5 to 7 years experience (combination of public accounting and private industry helpful but not required)
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization.
• Ability to work independently as well as on team projects
• Excellent software skills including Microsoft products, data base queries, report writing and graphing. Advance Excel skills are absolutely necessary.
• Experience with Business Objects, Hyperion Financial Management or JD Edwards One World is strongly preferred.
