SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT, Greater Hartford Area
Our client is a major Fortune 500 Energy Company with several positions in Accounting and offers a top compensation package including: great career track, strong salary, excellent work/life balance and no travel.
Responsibilities:
- Involved with the preparation of the income tax for the company, these responsibilities include functions associated rate case support, tax provision, tax return preparation and tax planning.
- Support SEC, FER and other regulatory reporting.
- Compensation $61,000 to $81,000 /yr + bonus depending on experience.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or a related degree is required.
- MBA or CPA is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of accounting theory and practice is required; specific experience with FERC and SEC accounting is preferred.
- Experience in a regulated utility environment is a plus.
- Recent Public Accounting experience a plus.
- Strong overall computer skills with emphases on Excel.
- Candidate must be able to work for any employer in U.S
