• Overall Responsibility: Conducting assessments of internal controls over financial reporting and disclosure controls and procedures
• Support certifications using Sarbanes-Oxley.
• Documenting processes including identifying financial reporting risks and controls for all significant financial statement accounts
• Testing key controls over financial reporting
• Identifying weaknesses in the control structure
• Providing recommendations to enhance controls.
• Coordinating activities with external auditors, consultants, regulatory authorities
• Reviewing adequacy of current accounting policies and proposing new ones.
• Monitoring the timely completion of management certifications.
• Compensation $56K to $81K / yr depending on experience.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related degree is required.
• An MBA or CPA designation is desirable.
• Minimum of 2 years experience.
• Internal audit or public accounting experience is a plus.
• Experience with large mainframe accounting systems preferred
• Experience with Management Information Base (MIB) systems preferred.
• Excel, Word and Powerpoint
• Must be able to work for any employer in the U.S.
