- Overall Responsibility: Conducting assessments of internal controls over financial reporting and disclosure controls and procedures
- Support certifications using Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Documenting processes including identifying financial reporting risks and controls for all significant financial statement accounts
- Testing key controls over financial reporting
- Identifying weaknesses in the control structure
- Providing recommendations to enhance controls.
- Coordinating activities with external auditors, consultants, regulatory authorities
- Reviewing adequacy of current accounting policies and proposing new ones.
- Monitoring the timely completion of management certifications.
- Compensation $56K to $81K / yr depending on experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related degree is required.
- An MBA or CPA designation is desirable.
- Minimum of 2 years experience.
- Internal audit or public accounting experience is a plus.
- Experience with large mainframe accounting systems preferred
- Experience with Management Information Base (MIB) systems preferred.
- Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Must be able to work for any employer in the U.S.
